What security protocols does PasseTonBillet apply on ticket exchanges?
PasseTonBillet secures ticket resale between attendees through protocols tailored to each event and to the ticketing setup of its partner organizers.
Depending on the arrangements put in place with the organizer, these protocols may include:
- Analysis and verification of e-tickets listed for sale by users, including the information on the ticket.
- Resale price checks, to enforce the rules set for the event and combat ticket scalping.
- Barcode verification, depending on the data available and the technical capabilities of the partner ticketing system.
- Deferred payment to the seller after the event, allowing any dispute to be taken into account before the payout.
- Checks and audits of seller profiles, including the bank details and identity documents requested.
- Ticket reprocessing or reissue by PasseTonBillet or its ticketing partners, such as Weezevent or Mapado. Where the integration allows it, a new ticket can be generated in the buyer’s name, with a new barcode.
- Dispute management, including a review of the evidence submitted when a buyer reports a problem with their ticket.
Security arrangements therefore vary from one ticket exchange to another: they depend on the event, the terms agreed with the organizer and the technical integration with its ticketing system.
The applicable security arrangements are displayed on the event page and before the ticket is purchased, so that each buyer can review them before completing their order.
